AMTI’s discovery process begins with data collection and getting the right information so we can properly review your production program. AMTI stands apart in our program, supply chain and process management teams who review your information and make early recommendations to point out potential challenges in your program before it even moves into formal configuration management planning and introduced to supply chain management.
Completing a detailed review and discovery early, most program threatening challenges are identified and addressed at the beginning of production. Being proactive rather than reactive during mid-production helps save unnecessary time loss and additional costs.
After a detailed discovery process, your project is formally moved to your single point of contact, your program manager. Once in the program management team, your board layout and work instructions are moved to our process engineering teams while your bill of material and discovery supply chain analysis is moved to supply chain management for in-depth review and formal lead time confirmation.
From both groups come guidance on part lead time, production time line options, estimated time standards and requirements for production. This is aligned with your projected forecast and your program is moved forward to scheduling.
Work instructions, test process, quality recording systems, and factory workflow are all developed, documented and planned. This functions as the road map and plan for your production project as it moves through the factory. All of this information is reported to and managed by your program manager.
One of the most risky aspects of production is inventory and your supply chain. The cost and the flow of materials as they move from core suppliers through inventory during the production process and out to your customers often becomes exponential and can overwhelm any company.
Beyond this, delays and other mishaps constrain components needed for production. These delays dramatically affect delivery and further ties up inventory. Because of these risks, AMTI invests heavily in headcount, infrastructure and software planning systems to mitigate these challenges and help our clients meet their production timeline.
In addition to our in-house systems and processes, AMTI has spent almost a decade developing relationships with key suppliers, who are proven to provide accurate guidance, reliable delivery dates, extremely competitive pricing and favorable terms. All of AMTI’s supplier partners go through a regular evaluation and grading process managed by our quality management system.
Once all components are identified and a supply timeline is approved, AMTI’s supply chain team begins procurement and manages inventory to tight parameters as set forth by your program manager and configuration management plan. Pre-production staging and work in process inventory tightens as our supply chain team manages tightly to schedule and further reduces your risks and costs.
Based on the information collected in our discovery phase and the planning completed in the configuration management planning and Supply Chain phases, we move your program into production.
Supply chain delivers components on schedule and moved from inventory to the floor. Your product is made, configured, tested, inspected, packaged and shipped based on your unique criteria. Every step of the process is in lockstep with our business planning and quality management systems. Each providing live updates to your dedicated program manager.
AMTI knows that every product and need is different and call on different processes and capabilities. To support this dynamic and provide you with the greatest flexibility, AMTI employs a modular approach to our industrialization planning. We know that there is not "one right way" but rather "lots of right ways" to execute your program without compromise. That is how we deliver simplicity instead of complexity.
Every project we commence involves some degree of forward logistics and a long-term repair support and reverse logistics varying in complexity. From simple packaging and shipping requirements to in-depth build/config to order solutions with regional specific packaging and shipping needs.
From a support perspective, we find that clients often have a strong need to facilitate repair and support actions for products in the field. This could include repairs, reconfiguration of product, or any number of countless scenarios where a repair depot is needed.
AMTI Advanced Manufacturing Services takes a complete 360 degree approach to manufacturing solutions and works directly with your team to not only address your configure/build to order, packaging and shipping logistics but also your long-term field support and repair depot needs. Forward and Reverse Logistics - AMTI has you covered.
